Performance Objectives:

The ISC analyst position offers an opportunity for professional development and involvement in many areas of Retirement Valuation processing.

Excellence

Reviews Instruction Form received from consulting office or from the AV Team Leader.

Sets up current year directories on network.

Files all documentation and archives softcopies of files.

May act as checker for some valuations.

People

Conducts micro (individual results) and macro (results of previous valuation, etc.) checking of valuation report. Documents results.

Imports or encodes output items of valuation program into Valuation Summary Worksheet.

Clients

Forwards summary valuation results to Team Leader for review.

Assists in the development and generation of exhibits for the reports.

Assists in the preparation and delivery of country reports.

Financial

Sets up data and conducts first level validation. Reviews Plan Rules Correspondence file for instructions related to the current valuation project. Checks if errors can be corrected using previous files, correspondences, etc.

Prepares Data Query Attachment if errors cannot be corrected.

Prepares preliminary Data Reconciliation to cover questionable data found.

Sends data validation, preliminary data reconciliation, data query forms and data log files to ISC Team/Project Leader for review.

Edits files according to action steps supplied by consulting office.

Projects plan assets if financial statements’ end date pre-dates valuation date.

Calculates required asset values and rate of return for the inter-valuation period.

Creates/modifies basis files.

Creates/updates valuation subroutine and valuation parameter files.

Runs valuation program.

Desired Profile:

Degree holder of IT/Commerce. Work experience in a professional services environment an advantage

Communication – proficient in English, both in written and oral

Computer literate

Proficiency in MS Excel – in particular the following:

Creating pivot tables and pivot charts

Using functions for calculations – vlookup, date, if, day, date, month, year, sum, average, min, max, left, right

Use of keyboard shortcuts

Interpersonal Relations

Multi-tasking

Good attention to details

Strong Analytical Skills

Self-motivating individual with high tolerance for repetitive work

Works with minimal supervision

Knowledge of present value calculations and probabilities

Knowledge of MS Access
