ശബരിമലനട തുറന്നു; തീര്‍ഥാടനം തുടങ്ങി
ശരണഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ ശബരിമല ക്ഷേത്രനട മണ്ഡലഉത്സവ പൂജയ്ക്കായി തുറന്നു. കനത്ത മഴയിലും ഭക്തസഹസ്രങ്ങള്‍ പൊന്നുപതിനെട്ടാംപടി ചവിട്ടി ഭഗവാനെ കണ്ടുവണങ്ങി. ഞായറാഴ്ച വൈകീട്ട് 5.25ന് ക്ഷേത്രം വലംവച്ചെത്തിയ തന്ത്രി കണുര് മഹേശ്വരരും മേല്‍ശാന്തി തെക്കേടത്തുമന എന്‍.വിഷ്ണുനമ്പൂതിരിയും ചേര്‍ന്ന് ശബരിമല ശ്രീധര്‍മ്മശാസ്താ ക്ഷേത്രനട തുറന്നു. ഞായറാഴ്ച മറ്റ് പൂജകളൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
തുടര്‍ന്ന് മേല്‍ശാന്തി എന്‍.വിഷ്ണുനമ്പൂതിരി പതിനെട്ടാംപടിക്ക് താഴെയുള്ള ആഴി തെളിച്ചു. പതിനെട്ടാംപടിക്ക് താഴെ ഇരുമുടിക്കെട്ടുമായി കാത്തുനിന്ന നിയുക്ത ശബരിമല മേല്‍ശാന്തി മാവേലിക്കര ചെറുകോല്‍ ഈഴക്കടവ് ചെറുതലമഠത്തില്‍ ജി.വിഷ്ണുനമ്പൂതിരിയെ മേല്‍ശാന്തി കൈപിടിച്ച് തിരുനടയിലേക്ക് ആനയിച്ചു. ഒപ്പം മാളികപ്പുറം മേല്‍ശാന്തി ആലുവ കടുങ്ങല്ലൂര്‍ പടിഞ്ഞാറ് കോട്ടൂര്‍ ചെറുവള്ളി ഇല്ലത്ത് നാരായണീയം കെ.സി.മാധവന്‍ നമ്പൂതിരിയും പടി ചവിട്ടി അയ്യപ്പനെ വണങ്ങി. പ്രസാദവും വാങ്ങി. തുടര്‍ന്ന് മറ്റ് അയ്യപ്പന്മാര്‍ പടി ചവിട്ടി ഭഗവാനെ വണങ്ങി.
വൈകീട്ട് ആറുമണിയോടെ സന്നിധാനത്തും തുടര്‍ന്ന് മാളികപ്പുറത്തും നിയുക്ത മേല്‍ശാന്തിമാരുടെ അവരോധച്ചടങ്ങ് നടന്നു. ശ്രീകോവിലിന് മുന്നില്‍വച്ച് ജി.വിഷ്ണുനമ്പൂതിരിയെ തന്ത്രി കണുര് മഹേശ്വരര് അഭിഷേകം നടത്തി. പിന്നീട് ശ്രീകോവിലിനുള്ളില്‍ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി അയ്യപ്പന്റെ മൂലമന്ത്രം ചൊല്ലിക്കൊടുത്തു. മാളികപ്പുറം ക്ഷേത്ര ശ്രീകോവിലിന് മുന്നില്‍ കെ.സി.മാധവന്‍ നമ്പൂതിരിയുടെ അവരോധച്ചടങ്ങും നടന്നു. വൃശ്ചികപ്പുലരിയില്‍ നട തുറക്കുന്നത് പുതിയ മേല്‍ശാന്തിമാരായിരിക്കും.
